Our beloved classmate, Mrs. Susanne Nifong Baker, 38, of Pfafftown, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on July 25, 1974, in Forsyth County, to Wayne Eugene and Gayl Surridge Nifong. Susanne was an accomplished horseback rider, she enjoyed European history and baseball. She had a sharp wit, open heart and a way of making everyone feel accepted and comfortable. In addition to her parents, Susanne is survived by her husband, Benjamin Spencer Baker; son, Henry Elliot Baker; sisters, Jennifer Nifong Morris and Rebekah Noelle Nifong; and brothers, Douglas Wayne Nifong and Stephen Eugene Nifong. In passing, Susanne leaves behind an army of fierce friends and a loving family, including her husband, Ben, and young son, Henry. It was Susanne's wish that Henry remember the wonderful life she left too soon, too young. We encourage you to write a letter to Henry and share your memories of his mother. Letters will be collected and given to Ben for him to share with Henry in the future.
